Join VWL for a bird walk at a private farm near the village of Orlean, VA. We will focus on building skills in bird IDs by sight and sound and will also explore how the management of shrubland and grassland habitats can affect bird communities.
The walk will run until around 9–9:30am and will involve walking through tall grass. We recommend bringing water, light-colored clothing, sun protection, tick repellent, and high boots or gaters. While the paths are mowed, the ground is uneven at times and can be rough terrain.
This event will have a limited number of attendees, and it will be first come, first served. This event is also FREE and open to the public.
